Tasmanian holidays… Tasmanian fine wine
What is one without the other?
Tasmania’s cool climate is perfect for growing quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. Our own wines are made from specially selected grapes sourced from premium Tasmanian vineyards in the State’s premier grape growing regions.
The Tarraleah Estate range of wines include “The Hairy Pinot”, “Four Horns Riesling”, “Two Tails Chardonnay” and the soon to be released, “Dizzy Blonde”.
They are made for us by one of Tasmania’s leading winemakers, Julian Alcorso, at his state-of-the-art winery in Cambridge near Hobart. Wines made by Julian won 25% of all medals awarded at both the 2005 and 2006 Tasmanian Wine Shows.
And they make great presents if you feel bad about the people you left behind.
Outstanding food has to be complemented by a fine wine list of over 300 - housed in a spectacular six metre long humidity and temperature controlled ‘wall of wine’. The Wildside Restaurant has an impressive array of local and international wines on offer – specialising in Tasmania’s and Australia’s finest.
