We have Tasmania’s highest golf course with beautiful mature trees and stunning drives. High altitude golfing in Tasmania…
The nine hole Highland Course has been established for over sixty years. And during the week it would be unusual not to have the course to yourself. Membership is complimentary for Lodge guests, available at a small charge for other guests and clubs can be hired at 'Adventure Tarraleah'.
Australia’s first golf course dates back to 1830 and is a short drive away on the grazing property Ratho, at Bothwell. A round can be arranged on the course where the greens are square and fenced in to keep the sheep off as a contrast to the wallabies at Tarraleah.
Bothell is also the location of the Australasian Golf Museum which houses the largest collection of golfing history and memorabilia outside of St Andrews although we are unclear if there ever were a lot of old golf balls made from kangaroo skin anywhere near the Royal and Ancient.
Tarraleah can cater for the golf enthusiast without compromising non golfing companions.
Or try a new challenge and add fly fishing to your holiday mix.
